Practice AreasHi-Tech CrimesLos Angeles Computer Crimes Attorney - Proven Defense for High-Tech Criminal OffensesWidespread use of computers in the commission of crimes has prompted law enforcement agencies to respond with sophisticated technological tools of their own. If you are charged with a computer-related or high-tech crime, the Law Offices of Alan Fenster has the experience and resources to counter the government's case by calling its own technology experts. In fact, we have successfully used computer specialists in defending clients on charges not related to technology. Alan Fenster's Beverly Hills criminal defense practice has represented clients in the Los Angeles area and across California in a range of high-tech crimes:
California and case prosecutors have created their own high-tech task forces and computer crimes prosecution teams to combat cybercrime. The Law Offices of Alan Fenster forces the government to prove its case by identifying holes in the evidence connecting defendants to high-tech crimes. Successful Defense in Technological AllegationsAlan Fenster recently defended a man who owned a CD-pressing business that produced and distributed music videos and films on compact discs. The government claimed his client was in possession of pirated material in violation of copyright laws. The equipment used to make the duplicate CDs cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and was purchased by the client. Mr. Fenster argued that the pirated discs had been promulgated by a prior owner before his client purchased the machine. The government was unable to prove its allegations that the defendant had pirated or knowingly distributed the material. Using Computers to Your AdvantageThe Law Offices of Alan Fenster used computer expertise to obtain an acquittal in a non-high-tech case. A man was charged with shooting a police officer. Police claimed that they saw the defendant drive by the victim's car and shoot. Investigation revealed that the real shooter was in fact the defendant's brother, and that our client was at home working on his computer at the time. Alan Fenster hired a computer expert who produced a printout of activities preserved on his client's computer hard drive, and at trial demonstrated to the jury he was on the computer when the shooting occurred. Contact the Law Offices of Alan Fenster if you are facing criminal charges relating to computer crimes, or if you suspect that state or federal law enforcement is investigating you for high-tech crimes. You can reach our Beverly Hills office at (310) 273-3661 to arrange a discreet consultation with Mr. Fenster. Alan Fenster represents clients in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Culver City, South Bay, Glendale, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley, and elsewhere in California as needed.
