Unmatched Experience and Success

During his 40 years in practice, Mr. Fenster has cultivated collegial relationships with prosecutors and judges. When all evidence points to guilt, he works with prosecutors to arrange a plea agreement.

He has also secured more than 100 not guilty verdicts, including murder acquittals. Attorney Fenster is undaunted by taking any viable case before a jury, including homicide cases:

  • First degree murder
  • Second degree murder
  • Voluntary manslaughter
  • Involuntary manslaughter
  • Vehicular homicide

The Law Offices of Alan Fenster has also had remarkable results in appealing criminal convictions.

A Record of Success

Mr. Fenster recently handled a first degree murder case in which his client was charged with shooting the victim in the back. The victim was running away while the defendant pursued him, shooting from a vehicle. There was no question that the client fired the fatal shots.

At trial, Mr. Fenster demonstrated that the victim and his friends repeatedly intimidated the defendant through threats and fist fights because of animosity over gang activities. The client testified that he opened fire out of fear of what the victim and his friends might do in the future.

In part because of the rapport Mr. Fenster developed with the jury, they found his client not guilty of the murder charge. The client was convicted only of manslaughter and received a lower prison term, versus the life sentence he would likely have received for a murder conviction.
